 Unleash the Power of the Mind! Creativity continues to be under-valued in our world. Yes a broad statement, but if you’re looking at making a living from your art, then you’re probably going to be in for a challenging time. 10CC’s famous lyrics ‘Art for art’s sake, money for god’s sake’, aptly sum up the difficulty of being creative and getting paid for it. As an artist and musician on-and-off for many years, I too have struggled with this dilemma: is my creativity – art – worth money? How do I measure the worth of my creativity? Why would someone want to pay for my art? What am I getting from doing this?
 The movie based on the Law of Attraction is apparently ‘Pop Culture Fluff’! Mary Manin Morrissey, best know as the author of 2 best-selling books, Building Your Field of Dreams and No Less Than Greatness, and who appeared in The Secret, makes this statement.
Mary blames the entire industry for why the Law of Attraction is not working for people. Mary states that ‘they take an amazing truth and they amplify the ’sexy’, less vital bits, and leave out the rest.’

Some argue that finding (and living) your passion will lead to all that you truly desire…including fabulous wealth. Others argue that you should go where the money is and develop your interest in that…this leads to what you desire.
The road that the Budda is said to have traveled is the middle path. This is a gross simplification, but in essence, is there a middle path that strikes a balance between pursuing your passion AND developing an interest in those ‘popular’ areas? Eg, I want to be a musician, but I don’t want to sell myself out to ‘pop’. I am an artist, but I don’t want to paint ‘pretty’ pictures that seem to popular with the masses.

 The Secret - Planet Earth I‘ve been daily using The Secret’s ideas, techniques and approaches to health and wealth for the past 4 months. I’ve always been interested in personal development as I know my outlook on life closely reflects and shapes my health and wealth.
I can honestly report that my health is better and so is my wealth, since putting The Secret into practice. Mind you, I’m nowhere near the millionaire status that many aspire to when they consider themselves to be getting close to being ‘rich’, but I am wealthier now than before I started my daily – and nightly – wealth and health meditations…and my health is better too.
The Science of Getting Rich is a timeless classic written in 1910 by Wallace D. Wattles. It is a bold title for a book and suggests that getting rich is a predictable outcome if one can master the principles outlined in the book. Here is how Wallace D. Wattles puts it in his own words, “The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.”
