How do you measure your happiness? What makes you happy? Can we only know our happiness by our experience of sadness? Do we learn our capacity for happiness from others, or is it an inherited trait? Is a child’s happiness and joyous laughter learned behavior, or a natural response to pleasant stimulus? Does our capacity for happiness change as we get older? Can we be happy if we’re sick or dying, or something terrible has happened to us or someone we know? Is it important to feel happy? Why? What’s the payoff?
